We are so excited to report that we will be returning to Honduras in 2022.  We have scheduled a dental mission for September 17th- 24th.   We are looking for dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists and general volunteers.  For more information about being part of the upcoming mission, please contact us.
       COVID-19 Update
In March 2020 the dental team was the last team out of Honduras as COVID-19 hit.   Our missions have been cancelled until March 2022.   The safety of our volunteers and patients is our top priority.  Upon returning to Honduras we will follow all CDC guidelines and expect new travel requirements from both the US and Honduran governments.  For now, we are not idle.  We have temporarily shifted our full focus to food, shelter and emergency dental and medical assistance for the people in Sula and the surrounding communities.
MARCH 2020
Another successful dental mission! In March we were joined by Dr Forrest Bowen and his daughter Elizabeth.  Dr Bowen, with his calm and gentle nature, was especially good with our young  patients in the clinic and at the schools.  Elizabeth worked tirelessly and jumped right in, always willing to do anything asked of her!   Dr Oscar was also with us for the week and we appreciate his dedication year after year.  Big news! Maritza Urbina, who has been volunteering with us for several years, is now Dr. Maritza.  We congratulate her and are so happy to have her working with us during our mission weeks. We added another school to our school outreach program, increasing the number of children we are educating on the importance of good dental hygiene and, protecting with fluoride.  With the help of donations from individuals and the Henry Schein  Foundation we were able to supply every patient with a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss.  More details and photos coming soon.
